We had a complicated tax year, with a cross-county move and returns for 3 states, so we knew we needed a professional. I found Mike through a recommendation on a neighborhood Facebook group, and within minutes of submitting a contact form on his website, he responded-- even though it was Sunday. Our initial meeting was very thorough-- he even spotted something weird in last year's return. Throughout the process, Mike communicated well and often. When we needed to meet in person, he was flexible with the scheduling. He is very knowledgeable regarding the tax code, and thorough in his research when he doesn't know something offhand. That weird thing in last year's return--- Mike found out it was a nearly $5000 error and very quickly prepared an amended return for us.
It does cost more to use a professional tax preparer than it does to use the services that pop up everywhere during tax season. IT'S WORTH IT. You get what you pay for with Mike-- detailed, through work and confidence that you're not giving the IRS any more of your hard earned money than you have to.
